- _3 value "B16 cells were treated for increasing times with retinoic acid (RA), 8-bromo-cyclic AMP, or a combination of these compounds. The amount calreticulin in control cells increased at 48 h of incubation and then remained constant. RA induced a modest increase in calreticulin at 24 and 48 h but not at 72 h of treatment. 8-Bromo-cyclic AMP increased the amount of calreticulin at every time point examined. The greatest degree of stimulation was 9-fold at 24 h of treatment. The increase in calreticulin was dependent on the concentration of 8-bromo-cyclic AMP, with 0.5 mM inducing a 4.2-fold increase in the amount of this protein." provenance.
